On Monday, miscreants shot a grandmother and grandson in broad daylight near a hospital in Naiganj of Jaunpur district. The incident caused chaos at the spot. The grandson was referred to Varanasi Trauma Center as his condition was more serious due to the bullet injury. The police, who arrived after getting information about the incident, are busy investigating the case.

According to the police, grandmother Kalavati and grandson Sunny Yadav have a Katra in Naiganj. There are many shops in it. On Monday morning, two miscreants on a bike, with their faces covered with a towel, reached there and shot the grandmother and grandson. Sunny Yadav was shot in the left leg near the knee and on the back. While grandmother Kalavati was shot in the left leg. Both were sitting nearby at the time of the incident. Due to which both were injured.
The local people present on the spot rushed both of them to the district hospital. Where the grandson was referred to Varanasi Trauma Center due to his critical condition. The police reached the spot after receiving the information and is investigating the matter.
